Celebrating excellence in the Performing Arts, the Mask Awards® lauds the finest talents working in the Nigerian theatre industry. The Mask Awards® measures quality, while promoting the Performing Arts’ content and structure by honoring its practitioners on a deserving platform as they are acknowledged and celebrated. With over 100 theatrical productions in 2017 alone, and over 200 in the last 4 years, only the very best nominations will be selected by Nigeria’s most seasoned panel of Reviewers & Critics.
The Mask Awards® are presented by The Mask Awards® Productions Ltd., in partnership with prominent theatre associations including The National Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP), The Society of Nigeria Theatre Artists (SONTA), The Guild of Nigeria Dancers (GOND), The Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN), and supported by corporate organizations as well as Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture. The annual Mask Awards® ceremony takes place on the 30th of November, 2018, celebrating the best of the previous calendar year. The ceremony would be broadcast live on national television as well as on Facebook and YouTube Live. The Mask Awards® is produced by Baneo Entertainment LLC. GA, USA.
Our desire is to drive loyalty amongst theatre loving patrons, while making the Mask Awards® the ultimate platform to measure quality, acknowledge and celebrate excellence in theatrical productions in Nigeria.
